Musquodoboit Harbour & District Lions Club

The close knit community of Musquodoboit Harbour is situated at the mouth of the Musquodoboit River, about thirty-two kilometers east of Dartmouth.

The Mi'kmaq called it "Mooskudoboogwek," which means, "suddenly widening out after a narrow entrance at the mouth."

The village's name is an anglicized version of the Mi'kmaq word.
