The close knit community of
Musquodoboit Harbour is situated at the mouth of the Musquodoboit River, about thirty-two kilometers east of Dartmouth.
The Mi'kmaq called it "Mooskudoboogwek," which means, "suddenly widening out after a narrow entrance at the mouth."
The village's name is an anglicized version of the Mi'kmaq word.
.
The Musquodoboit Harbour and District Lions Club has
served our community with pride since receiving its Charter on January 22nd. 1982.
Musquodoboit Harbour is 40 minutes from the International City of Halifax, on the
beautiful Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia.
