The Melvin Jones Award is the highest form of recognition conferred on a Lion by the Foundation. Lion Mike Gibbons joins the only other member of our club who has been so recognized - Lion Lewis Bayers.

Here's what Lion Mike had to say about his year as Provincial District Governor.

"My past year as District Governor was busy one and involved the visitation of all sixty eight clubs in the district from Yarmouth to the Cabot Trail.

It was a unique experience and all clubs were very welcoming and gracious to both me and my wife who accompanied me on all my visits.
 
I am now serving in the Council Chairman's position for Multiple District 41 which includes the State of Maine plus all the Atlantic (Maritime) Provinces.
Not as hectic as being District Governor but still quite busy"
